  1. I have the same question. Only problem is I purchased the camper before I understood the potential issue. I bought a 2012 Palamino Bronco. Weighs about 1600 lbs. Found out there is a plate in the glove box which indicates the slide in camper weight limit. This is about 650 lbs for my truck. Friend just bought a Chevy Silverado and his plate says "no slide in camper". I believe my GVWR and GCWR are thresholda are sufficient that I should be able to beef up the tires and the springs and be ok. Problem is the decal on the pillar does not give GVWR only a weight not to exceed based in the standard load tires. I'm very frustrated trying to ascertain the real answer. Any suggestions?
