  1. Forgot to mention, once this happens both times I have had to be drug out and shut the truck off, keys out, and let it sit for ten or so minutes before there is any function to the 4WD dial. Light goes out on the dial, and the truck shows it’s in 4WD^ on the offroad page but no power to the front wheels. Had I been alone I’d be writing off a truck and absolutely shafted.
  2. Not to bring an apparently dead topic back into relevancy, but just had this same thing happen to me wheeling with some friends. 2015 Sierra SLE All Terrain. Pulled into a creek in 4Lo, sank into the silt and gave it consistent gas to pull my way through, started to slow and gave more gas to increase speed and on the up-rev got the “4WD OFF” message and bogged down in water midway up my doors? Jeep and 4Runner in front of me had to pull my heavy ass out and got through it no problem. Had to lean it down hill to get all the water to run out of the floor pans. This has happened before in the same situation while in mud in 4Lo and gave gas to keep moving and “4WD OFF” message and got bogged. Anybody know why this happens and if there’s an override?
  3. That’s the biggest reason why I’m considering just doing the R/Ts again is because of the price, but if there’s no other real difference in noise or comfort I might pony up. My biggest question on the Coopers is really longevity and noise.
  4. Congrats man! I have to add a +1 for the Corsa Sport. I just picked up my 2015 and the previous owner had the Corsa installed with an Airaid MIT, and it’s one of my favorite things about the truck. I had Flowmaster Super 44s on my 2008 5.3 and I liked it well enough but the Corsa sounds so nasty on startup and when you mash the gas on the move. I’ve had people turn around, laugh, and tell me they thought my truck was a Vette or a Camaro when it started up. That said, on the highway or at a steady cruise, it’s almost silent compared to the Super 44s. Obviously it’s a pretty system comparatively, but I have to say it’s a pretty awesome setup for what you pay. Let us know what you end up getting!
  5. Since tax return season is approaching I wanted to start some research on new tires for the new truck. I’m currently running 305/55R20 Toyo R/Ts and while they’re a little loud, I love them otherwise. On my old truck I was running 275/55R20 Cooper ATPs and they lasted me over two years with plenty of tread left, so I was looking at the Cooper STT Pros as a possible change and wanted to know if anyone else is running them. Also open to to other options for intermediate or M/T tires.
  6. 305/55R20 Toyo Open Country R/Ts on stock snowflakes with an RC 2” up front. Needs spacers because the 305s rub the arms at full lock, but I get 18-20 mpg on the highway with AFM disabled and a 93 tune.
