  1. I got out of a 2017 Camaro SS A8, just because of this. The warranty was just about up and I wasn't going to be stuck with it. My problems came when I'd be on the road for 45 minutes or so and especially if it was hot out. The first time it happened it felt like a semi was passing by way too close and made the car "rumble" and not in a good way. I took it to the dealer and of course they couldn't replicate. It happened several times, to the point I didn't even want to drive it anymore. I traded it and my Malibu in for the 10 speed Silverado 6.2. So glad to not have to worry about the A8 anymore. My problems didn't start until around 20k miles and I traded it in at 27k.
  2. I have a 2019 LTZ 6.2 that I bought about two weeks ago. I purchased a tonneau cover using a 50% off Costco coupon and GM Rewards points to pay for a good portion of it. While I was chatting with the parts guy he looked up my truck and said there was a recall they would complete as well. When I went to the My Chevrolet app and looked for a recall I found none. They completed the update yesterday and I've noticed nothing different, but didn't notice an issue in the first place. Just a heads-up that there may be something out there that doesn't show up when you search for recalls. I've attached my receipt and it shows they reprogrammed my ECM.
  3. I use both and haven't had the rear sensor issues with the R3.
  4. I have a Uniden R3 radar detector that is powered by my cigarette lighter power socket. Everytime I turn off the truck the socket continues to provide power for a couple minutes, which is no big deal. My problem is that when I start the truck again there is no power being supplied to the socket. I have to unplug and then re-plug the radar detector every time to get power back. Is there a simple fix? Eventually I'll hardwire the radar detector, but it's annoying to mess with it each time i start the truck...if I even remember to do it.
  5. On Saturday I just bought a 2019 Silverado LTZ Crewcab with a sticker of $59.3k for $48.3k. Also got the dealer to throw in 6 free oil changes and bought the 84 month or 100k warranty for $1,300 (not included in the $48.3k). Here's the extra options I have on the truck: Chevytec spray-on bedliner, Black with Chevrolet logo Engine, 6.2L EcoTec3 V8 Max Trailering Package LTZ Convenience Package II LTZ Plus Package Tires, 275/60R20SL all-terrain, blackwall Wheels, 20" x 9" (50.8 cm x 22.9 cm) Polished finish LPO, Black Bowtie Emblem, front Trailer Camera Package LPO, Molded splash guards, Black
  6. Hello fellow GM'ers, I'm rejoining the Silverado club as of today. I've owned two other Silverados and today came away with a fair deal on a 2019 Silverado Crewcab LTZ. Other options include: Chevytec spray-on bedliner, Black with Chevrolet logo Engine, 6.2L EcoTec3 V8 Max Trailering Package LTZ Convenience Package II LTZ Plus Package Tires, 275/60R20SL all-terrain, blackwall Wheels, 20" x 9" (50.8 cm x 22.9 cm) Polished finish LPO, Black Bowtie Emblem, front Trailer Camera Package LPO, Molded splash guards, Black I've already been checking out the forums for the past few weeks. I live in Iowa and look forward to learning more here. Maybe I'll find time for pics tomorrow if the rain ever stops.
