    I popped the puddle light out of the mirror and cut the black wire on both puddle lights. The turn signals work on both mirrors and they fold correctly.

    I have a 2019 Chevy 2500 HD LTZ I upgraded from DQS Tow mirrors to the smaller DL3 mirrors (non-OEM). Mirrors are installed and everything works correctly except for the puddle lights will only work when the headlights are on. I could not find a way to turn the puddle lights off when the headlights where on, so I cut the black wire to the puddle lights and capped it off in the mirror. Now I am getting a check engine light. The dealership told me I am throwing an Ambient Temperature Sensor Code. Any help would be greatly appreciated. New to threaded. Great thread. I read most of the comments on 2019, but didn't see anything on swapping this way.
