My iPhone 11 Pro Max connects a little over half of the time. I had an iPhone XS Max that connected without any issues. The last two times I updated iOS 13, it worked great for a couple of days, then gradually got back to the point it was before. When I connect my phone one of 4 things happens. (1) The CarPlay dashboard comes up instantly, (2) The CarPlay dashboard comes up after about 30 seconds, (3) the phone begins charging, but will not connect over CarPlay or Bluetooth, or (4) the phone's audio transfers to my car stereo, but without any CarPlay dashboard (instead, the audio shows up on Intellilink as an iPod). Next time I'll try the tip about turning CarPlay off and back on in settings while the phone is connected.
