  1. making a report with the NHTSA will help the government force GM to recall. GM is known for failing to issue recalls until the issue causes a fatality. They just bury the problem. So by doing this it doesn’t leave the decision up to GM. I also don’t know how tech savvy y’all are but also complain on Twitter. I’ve been tweeting and harassing their twitter accounts (@chevytrucks and @chevrolet and @gm) since this happened. They can’t control what people see on Twitter like they can through other social media outlets. If enough people do that other people will start taking notice. You can also tag the NHTSA in tweets (@NHTSAgov), it makes Chevy nervous. we truly were just a mere 5 minutes from getting on the interstate with our baby in tow. In Fort Worth, during evening traffic. It was also pouring down rain. Had we gotten on the interstate and it happened it would have been tragic. This issue should have been fixed long before I ever bought my truck had GM done the right thing and issued a recall when these problems started happening back in January. So I’m pissed.
  2. Have you reported yours to NHTSA? If not, it is very quick and easy. I did mine on the phone and it took maybe 5 minutes and absolutely no hassle.
  3. We bought a new 2019 Silverado on Monday night. Wednesday night we had the brake system failure issue. And it wasn’t a faulty warning, we didn’t have any brakes. Tried backing out of the parking space and we had to roll to a stop. No response from brakes. They towed it and did the usual reprogramming a few of you spoke of. after you had the reprogramming done did it happen again? Or was it just a one time issue for you?
