Wow Ace cut it for $10 that's cheap. Do you know if they cut it by code or copied one you had using a tracer type setup? Also does it matter if the door is open or closed?

Ok guys I just dropped my truck off at the locksmith and he actually told me how to program the key myself. I have a 2019 Silverado 1500 legacy and he said that after the 30min procedure there is a 9min window to program the old key back in and more keys. You actually have to program the second key or the truck wont start. I went ahead and let him do it and a remote for $50

I realize this is an old thread but im in a bind. I just bought my truck and i only have 1 key and 1 key fob. What are my options to have 2 working keys in my truck? I read about the 30 minute procedure but if i understand correctly that will only program 1 key so again trying to add a second key wont work correct?

Im really interested in doing this to my truck i just bought a 2019 Silverado 1500 LD LT. What is the best route to take, Dealer all the way or buy the kit install it myself and take it to the dealer for programming?
