  1. New pb with the dragy after tuning on E85 Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  2. I’ve done the L86 intake manifold and throttle body swap and it’s a cheap and money well-spent mod with proper tuning. Very noticeable gains across the board. Most gains are down low where you need it the most. I’m moving up to the LT5 throttle body with a billet adaptor to see what gains can be had with that. 4x4 double cab, 3.42, full weight, longtubes, off-road y-pipe, 3” exhaust, 4” tube to stock air box with AEM dryflow filter, 160* t-stat, E85 conversion, ngk iridium spark plugs. 3. Yes Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  4. After making the custom exhaust with a cold start Then recently after the magnaflow has “broken in”
  5. The Buildup wont happen if you block off the pcv system and vent the valve covers to atmosphere rather than run that crap back into the intake. I have the DOD disabled in my tune and gas mileage averages around 22+mpg at 75mph. I have 31.5” tires and 3.73 gears 4x4 double cab. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  6. You need a tune. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  7. The reason for the issue you are describing is caused by altering the MAF housing in any way from factory which the k&n cai does. It requires a tune. Even the airaid will benefit from a tune but since the factory MAF housing is still being used, the tune won’t need adjustment. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  8. I did the L86 intake manifold and throttle body swap so a 4” tube was a proper fit. And the muffler I will be using to keep it tame with the catless y-pipe and speed engineering longtubes. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  9. Made a custom 4” tube to mate up with my l86 throttle body and manifold swap. No pcv ports on it since I have mine vented to atmosphere. Also we do powder coating at my work and had mine done in wrinkle black. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  10. What restrictor panel? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  11. As long as you don’t cruise the speed limit in the far left lane, it’s fine with me! Lol. Otherwise everyone hates you. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  12. Where was this? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  13. That’s damn impressive but I think 55mph pisses everybody else on the highway... lol. 55mph seems to be the sweet spot though. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  14. Hopefully the AEM dryflow air filter helps a bit as well. Currently I have a gutted California cat and the custom intake tube. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  15. So the custom tube and gutting the California cat seems to have helped...... Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  16. Added my custom intake tube and I think it helped! This with the California cat gutted. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  17. Here’s the installed pic. I think for best results I will wrap the tube in foam insulating tape so the aluminum won’t heat soak as badly. I also need to cut the plastic hose of the factory vent fittings and slip the new rubber hose on them for a cleaner look and to make it easy to remove the hoses from the valve covers. 18. Borrowed some couplers and clamps until I get mine in the mail so here’s a pic of it installed with the hoses temporarily stuck onto the valve cover vents I need to cut the plastic hose off the factory snap fittings so I can put the new rubber hose onto them for a cleaner and better look. I think I will wrap the tube with foam insulating tape so the aluminum doesn’t heat soak as badly and perform more like the composite tubes on the market. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  19. Made this tube for my 2019 5.3 Silverado 1500 LD. I used some leftover 3.5” tubing from side work I’ve done. I still need hose couplers, clamps, and fittings for the crank case vents from the valve covers. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  20. But too much is bad for the wrist pins. 4psi tops is safe. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  21. Looks like I would need to add some sort of restrictor to the crank case vacuum line to the vacuum pump since the pump pulls too much vacuum (12-13psi) and you should only pull 4psi to keep the wrist pins lubricated. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  22. Yes I love it other than the remote start working only when it wants to.... Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  23. LD which is the same as LT but with a standard package 5.3, 6 speed auto, tow package, and hitch receiver. 4wd with standard IFS and no torsion bars. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  24. 2019 and it says on the post title. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  25. There are no baffles in the stock intake. There are helmholtz resonators in the stock tube for sound control and the cc vents. This tube should help with some v8 sound and improve airflow velocity for improved torque under the curve and hopefully a little improvement in gas mileage. The tube will get powder coated a wrinkle black finish. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
