  1. finally got my truck back. Took over a month to get the part and get it installed
  2. 3 weeks later, no update on my truck. They have no ETA for the replacement valve body parts. Seems bizarre to have no clue if it's 2 weeks or 2 months.
  3. well my truck finally got diagnosed at the dealer and they are ordering a new (hopefully upgraded) valve body.... dealer said it's on back order and no ETA.... so we'll see!
  4. Dealership now got my truck in to take it apart... said they are replacing the valve body and it's on back order, no ETA.
  5. I was able to speak with a service manager today. He said they recognize it's a valve body issue and they have "spacers" on hand, but might need to order a valve body but that shouldn't take too long. I'm honestly less annoyed at this point with the truck malfunction and more annoyed at the dealer response.
  6. mine failed randomly at 58k with no warning signs.... Dealer I took it too has not even pulled it in the bay yet and my service appointment was several days ago. I'm only dealing with GM Customer service on the matter now as the local dealer seems to be incompetent or indifferent
  7. I did a long internet search after my trans acted up... trying to find anything anywhere in a news brief or bulletin saying that valve body had been updated.... I can't find anything. Honestly it still seems to be an issue also
  8. did your truck have transmission issues each of those times that required the valve body? How long ago did you get the upgraded version? was it a fairly quick fix each time they replaced the valve body? I was thinking about a 26 model also but can't find anything definitive on what was replaced
  9. so your 23 truck with 20k miles - was that VB replacement done under warranty/no cost to you? How long did it take? were the parts available? Did you get a loaner car? Thanks. This has me seriously stressed out. I use my truck all the time for work driving around to construction sites. Not having a vehicle is got me worried
  10. Does anyone know if this transmission issue has been corrected on the 2026 models? I'm half inclined to just trade up and get a new truck rather than mess around with this repair.
  11. got it, thanks. Only drove 5 miles today wanted to run to Home Depot figured I could do it, even without reverse... got a little ways away from home and it was acting weird, hunting for gears, then acted like it went to neutral and "check engine" light came on and it said "low acceleration mode"... limped it home.
  12. I cannot find anything definitively online. My 2024 1500 Denali just quit reverse. Just sits like it's in neutral. No nothing. 1. How do i find out if there's a recall or not? 2. Are parts available? Is anyone actually getting their trucks worked on or is it just a software upgrade. I've read the valve body is what needs replaced but some are getting just the reflash 3. Has this updated valve body made it to the 2026 models? Or is this still an issue even with the new trucks out on the lots? Thanks
  13. add me to the list. 2024 GMC Denali 1500 with 5.3L and 10 speed. Just a basic commuter truck no towing or hauling. Just came home from dinner and reverse is gone. Truck just revs up. Tried shifting back & forth. Shut it off & started. Same issue. Left it out in the driveway so I don't have to push it out. Unreal. First new vehicle I've bought since 2009. Ironically never had any issues when I was driving Jeep/Chrysler vehicles
  14. Ive used this feature for a year now, no issues connecting, Now it's gone. Phone connects via bluetooth no issues. I've deteted the phone several times and reconnected.... it asks me to accept CarPlay which I do, and have checked all the settings on my phone and toggled "carplay" on and off, no luck. Upgraded my phone to latest operating software and tried again. What's the deal. Has to be something I'm not aware of? I see my truck's wifi network is gone, not sure if that matters?
  15. I finished my front door speaker upgrade this morning. Ended up doing JBL Club 964 6x9's in the front doors. Also did sound deadening on the outer door skin and "soundskins" material on the inner door panels. Took my time doing the install and watched lots of install videos. Very happy with the outcome. These front door speakers were about $150 from crutchfield and I bought about $120 of sound deadening. A few tips to share. 1. Take your time removing the door panels. 2. I made a template out of visqueen plastic for the soundskins material. They also offer pre cut templates for the specific model but that was $200. The kit i bought was $100 for 11 sf which wasn't really enough but it turned out fine. 3. Buy a little roller tool if you're going to do this install. 4. Overall the stereo sounds amazing now. I put quite a bit of sound deadening on the outer door skins also. Haven't really driven much yet to get a feel for the reduction in road noise but overall very pleased. For those on a budget, looking to do speaker upgrades themselves, I'd highly recommend this. The Audio Frogs in the dash were a 10 min easy swap. The front doors were not hard but more involved since I added so much sound deadening. I plan on keeping this truck a while though and i'm in it all the time so it was a worthwhile upgrade.
