  1. Not sure on the part number, it was from a 4wd 2015 Silverado (GU6 axle code), it bolted in and works great. As for the radiator, just Google their issues (mainly the welds cracking after a couple months). The OEM radiator had issues but GM fixed it with the newer ones and going from the base radiator to the max tow (same price for the most part) is an upgrade IMO.
  2. I love it, drives way better and is easier to tow (we have a 5k lb camper). I bought the rear end from a wrecked Yukon XL with 28k on it so it was almost 100k miles less than what my 3.08’s were at. I bought a 3.42 front axle from a Silverado. Found both on eBay for about $1500 shipped to my door, yes it was expensive but I wanted to “upgrade” it since we can’t regear easily. I noticed zero difference in MPG too.
  3. I have a ctsv thermostat to go in, that radiator is trash, take a look at all the reviews from cracking and warranty claims. No thanks. I like to stick with OEM parts.
  4. 2015 Yukon, 5.3, bought with 111k, AFM disabled when I bought it via HP tuners, it now has 135k, it’s had the AC condenser replaced along with every single fluid and filter changed when I got it. I put in a lower temp trans thermostat and new transmission cooler lines (rubber was leaking). Here in a couple months I’m replacing the water pump, putting in a CTSV thermostat, radiator hoses and max tow radiator (thicker than the base radiator), all OEM, I do a lot of towing with our camper all over the US so want it to be ready and reliable for the summer time
  5. Hi, thanks for the input, it has new tires and an aftermarket brake controller (the camper has 4 drum brakes on it). Im just trying to be proactive and replace so "hi stress" items that could possibly fail along the trip, as I stated it all has 135k miles on it already. I was going to replace the radiator, water pump, upper and lower coolant hoses and thermostat all OEM (I do all my own work) but was wanting to know if the "max tow package" radiator would drop right in without an issue. We do get wiffs of coolant smell in the summer time after parking and I bet it has this issue here: PI1513F 1..2 (nhtsa.gov) , Its already has every fluid changed out on it when I bought it last year.
  6. We are going on a 3k mile camping trip later this year pulling a 5500 lb camper through hills, my 2015 Yukon has 135k miles so im looking to do what I can to help the cooling system, ive already done the lower temp thermostat for the transmission, when looking at OEM radiators I see there is an option for the one with the tow pacakge, will that one drop right into my SLT without the tow package? I should mention ive already swapped the rear out to 3.42's instead of 3.08's. The part number for the radiator for the tow package is 84207656.
  7. Its cause you have a 3.08 gear that you are limited to 6300. If you dig around on some forums there are lots of guys who tow just over that but complain that they have issues in mountains. Im sure GM put the 6300 tow rating with 3.08 gears for liability reasons and to avoid warranty repairs on rear ends and transmissions. Id do the free trans thermostat pill flip mod if you plan to tow a lot.
  8. Thanks newdude, injectors are 12268390 from what ive searched, VIN: C
  9. 2015 Yukon, 5.3, cant find any info on those pipes on any of the GM websites
  10. Any idea where I could find part numbers for the 5.3l? Im pretty sure its all the same for the fuel lines and intake mani gaskets but I want to be sure before ordering.
  11. Did you need to replace the intake manifold gaskets or did you re-use them?
  12. I couldn't since he refunded me but anyone who now searches google will see this thread
  13. There are better places than the dealer, Rock Auto for one. Advance Auto had OEM plugs in stock and after their coupon it was $58. I threatened the ebay seller of the fake plugs and he immediately refunded me, he didn't even want his plugs back
  14. I don’t know if this has been mentioned but I acquired some “AC Delco” spark plugs off eBay for $38, once I had them I compared them to the current OEM plugs and noticed a lot of differences. I noticed Amazon has the same looking plugs, I know between Amazon and EBay there are 1000’s of sets sold so I would check yours. I did not take a pic of the top of the plug but the AC Delcos will have a marking on them (2 dots and a line under them). There is no way the counterfeits perform as well as OEM, fake is on the right and youll see a lot of differences, mainly the shorter electrode and the missing of the “puck” on the bottom like the originals do
