Martin in the desert

Regards, So my truck is a no start, I have a feul gage reading empty, with a known quantity of gas at about half a tank. I have a feul pressure gage installed and have 55 lbs. of fuel pressure. The truck turns over and starts only to die in a second or two. The scan tool Starts automatically but will not connect? Any ideas where to look, I feel it must be getting spark as it fires then dies. I'm stumped! Thanks Martin
