Hey all,
I need to change out the ABS module on my '14 Silverado 1500.
My question is whether I need to cut and re-flare the lines, where the meet the module, or is it acceptable to clean and re-connect the existing flared ends?
I have not looked very closely, yet, but I imagine that I'd end up having to replace entire lines (if I cut and re-flare); as something is bound to come up short.
Anyone done this job before, and have any other advice, any tricky issues waiting for me? Replacing the module with a pull-out from the junk yard. The pump in my existing part is failing, so I constantly have brake and stabilatrack warnings. If I whack the pump body with a wrench, the trouble clears for a few weeks.
Apologies if this is the wrong forum, btw.
Kind regards,
R
