  1. Thank you very much for replying to this post . The explanation and pictures are excellent.
  2. It's supposed to... Sorry, didn't read all the comments but, the engine is supposed to shut down when you come to a stop, under certain conditions. See page 210 of the owners manual it will tell you all about it... It can also be inhibited by pressing the engine function button on the dash. Ha .... that was the first thing my dealer showed me when he gave me the Pre Delivery Show. Sorry.....didn't see your original posting date of Jan 2019....
  3. If your amp probe said 0 amps the block heater was not drawing power. Your input voltage will always read 120 volts but that does not mean that the block heater was on. And Yes it has to be at least -18 for that heater to turn on. I don't like that either but if GM says it's ok to start a -18 engine then. it's ok with me...I've started mine with -30 (no block heater) and it started OK, and always has. By the way diesel means nothing, they only make one block heater and one block heater cord, so it doesn't matter.
  4. So I've joined a while ago.... I'm trying to finish my profile which is at 0 %.. I have my name entered,my truck and my location and that's as far as it goes. When I sign in I always have 3 squares on top and 3 on the side which I assume are pictures, but they have an arrow spinning and spinning all the time. I have good internet and a fast connection. Can some one tell me why this is happening and why the pic's don't appear and why I can't complete my profile, which I have no idea what the other questions might be.. Thanks in advance for the help.....Does it matter that I am in Canada??? Just wondering.
