Yeah I'm not getting my hopes up my '21 order will actually go through, ill believe when I have a VIN assigned. Would be kinda cool to have one of the last 2021's that are built. At least I have a timeframe. If I don't have a VIN assigned by the last day of April, I'm telling my dealer to cancel the order and prep it for submission on May 6.

Thank you! That is reassuring. I found out my dealer sold three special order HD's that came in the last two weeks, hopefully they get allocations to accept my order. Real good info on this forum.

Awesome thank you! Good to know, if my order isn't picked up by the end of this month I'm telling my dealer to cancel and resubmit for a 2022 in early May. With that date, they must be planning on revealing their 2022's soon. Hopefully the few changes to the 2022 HD's will be the squeaky brakes, leaky rear sliding window, and steering post. Hopefully the same configurations are available.

Wow. Thank you for the update, really appreciate it. Unfortunately there is nothing within 500 miles of me. Even if there was, I doubt I could find something that is near what I ordered. If they can't get my '21 order then ill try for a 2022. Unfortunately ill probably be paying a few thousand more, but at least ill be getting exactly what I want. My dealer recently sold three special orders, so they should be getting more allocations soon. My dealer finally broke down and told me those allocation details. But like you said, that may not matter, I still probably wont be able get the truck I want. All these different strains of Covid popping up aren't going to help the supplier issues. Good luck. This is unconfirmed, I created a seperate post to see if anyone else has heard the same,... So since as of 3 weeks GM is removing AFM and DFM from certain 2021 trim 5.3 engines going forward. This in turn has hurt GM's overall emissions rating average. So GM is targeting their worst emissions engine, the 6.6 gas, and temporarily halting production of it.

Does anyone have inside info on ordering from the factory? Rumors im hearing: GM is not accepting anymore HD 2021 orders. For the orders they do have, they are only building crew cabs They have a limited supply of 6.6 gas New EPA regs on the 6.6 gas is causing a stop build. Can anyone confirm any of these rumors? I ordered a Sierra 2500HD 6.6 gas crew cab on March 9. It is still in code 1100 (order submitted, but not accepted). Wondering if im screwed and will have to reorder when ordering 2022's become available.

I'm planning on using 5W30 Signature series or Boosted XL Amsoil with Wix WL10255XP oil filter. Watch the tournament series Project Farm does of testing all the various engine oils. Amsoil has one of the lowest amounts lost due to the oil becoming vaporized. I cant remember the vapor rating system, NOAK volatility test? The more the oil becomes vaporized under high heat, the more gumming up of the valves happens. I also plan on using using fuel additives once every two months, Seafoam or Marvel Mystery oil.

You placed an order for an AT4 in late March, there's a good chance your order will be canceled and you will have to order a '22. Its even looking like my order I placed on March 9 will be canceled. Factories are short on everything right now. Computer chips. Now I'm hearing EPA regs on the 6.6 gas and 6.6 gas engine shortages. What a friggin mess.

I ordered my truck with the standard tailgate, I haul sleds and ATVs in the bed sometimes and wanted to be safe. Anyone know the height from the ground to the bottom of receiver on a 2020+ 2500?

Nice! Still room for gear in the V too. I have 8x12 two place now that I haul with 1500, but planning on getting a 7.5x22 or 24' in the near future. I just ordered a '21 2500 6.6 gas. With a 7.5x22 or 24 do you think I'll be good with a 8" drop hitch or should I just go with the 10"?
