The color appears very purple, like Plum Crazy mopar stuff, not like the GM color on Cavaliers, etc...but looking up under and on firewall kinda hard to tell.

If it won't spin the tires at 55, work on the engine...if it will, work on the chassis

Thought about that, but what company would order fleet 4x4 short boxes, with cloth interior, carpet, power windows and locks, A/C and all in purple? Seems like if they were fleet they would be long box, with less options...maybe?

Anyone know of a purple k-1500? I found what appears to be a 1993 that is now white but firewall, underside and underneath bed are all purple. I have restored cars and trucks all my life and know this was not a repaint to purple, this is factory paint. They did not offer a color even close, this is almost the same as "plum crazy" used on mopars. Any ideas? Special order? Trying to find out so if I buy it I'll know how special it is and is it worth bringing back to original.

Only if the 99 is same body style, then it will. 99 tahoe, Yukon, and Escalade will also work.They were changing body in 99 so there will be a difference if newer style.
