  1. Hello all! I’m finally doing the swap from a 4.3 to a 5.3 engine in the 08 sierra and I’m currently doing a write up. I’m trying to find an aftermarket wiring harness for the 5.3 but it has to been late 07-09 just like the engine itself and pcm as far as i know. I bought a jegs ATK engine 5.3 and this is the only piece i’m having trouble with. Painless does not have it for ls 2007+. Can anyone point me in the right direction?
  2. Hey guys! I want to do a swap from 4.3 to 5.3 08 sierra. Can i use a chevy or gmc engine either way? I just need to know what exactly i need, i know i need the engine harness, computer and engine itself and an engine from 08-09. Do i need anything more than that? I’m trying to see if i can just buy this straight out or if i’d rather get a donor truck. I’m guessing any donor truck will do even if its not a single cab 2x2 like my sierra. What i’m trying to ask is if anyone has a parts list that i’d need to get the swap done and make it look like factory. Thank you guys! Also, i’m not doing this myself.
  3. Will the 275/55/20 on 20x10 rims cause any rubbing on a stock truck? I’m trying to get that old school look where the tire sticks outside from the body a bit and is wide enough to look like some type of racing slick from behind if that makes sense. Thank you!
  4. I’ve learned that the 15x10 inch rims do not look good on newer style trucks like it did on the old square bodies. What size rim and tire on a stock truck of this generation do you run?
  5. Hey guys, sorry if this is in the wrong place as I’m new. However, I have a 2008 Sierra with the 4.3 automatic 3.23 diff. I have a few 5.3’s from salvage, but I need to know exactly what I need to do the swap. I know I need a PCM but has anyone done this before or have a guide of doing it and the parts needed? I also need to know what year 5.3’s will work with my truck, I want everything working electronically. Thank you
