  1. So I use service mode on my truck to enable me to leave the wifi on when we camp, typically I plug in the trailer and the trailer invertor keeps the batteries charged up. Bit was curious if the service mode has batteries run down protection and would automatically turn off if the voltage drops too low or just let them run dead?
  2. So pop the hood tonfun a red squirell has shredded something in the engine compartment that looks like black and gray insulation. Hood headliner is all intact, wheel well liners good, all i can figure it is part of the firewall or heat barrier on the transmission? Can't see anything torn up but appears most of it coming near the can but is spread throughout. I blew most of it out but worried about potential fire hazzard now? Wondering if ita safe to drive to the dealer... thoughts?
  3. Bill, What rock lights did you go with and do you have any pictures? Was considering doing the same, maybe not 14, but would also like to do them for camping, we pull in to a lot of places late at night and would be really convenient (even considering putting a wiring harness in the back to control rock lights on the trailer itself. I ended up putting in the twin ARB compressor under the back seat, fit great, now I just have to run the air lines (going to mount the port in the footwell along the side of the bed). I ran a separate 4GA wire from where the snowplow fuse goes, and the other firewall hole on the passenger side to the back, and used the line from the switches to power the relay for it.
  4. Yeah those tabs on the center console were fun to figure out! Nice pic post of those. Yeah I used the firewall port on the other size to fish a larger gauge wire back under the rear seat where I installed my air compressor, still use the upfitter switches to turn it on and off. Still need to find some decent aux light pics for the 2020 trucks yet.
  5. Did you check to make sure the wiring harness attachment to your ignition switch didn't come loose when moving wires or the lower knee panel? If you replaced the panel it most likely came detached or wasn't reconnected properly?
  6. My local dealer quoted me over $240, it was only $137 on gmpartsdirect.com (Which is a SC dealership) I got it delivered to my door in less than a week from them.
  7. Finished all my wiring, still have to run my airlines... Surprised on how quiet it is back there, thought it would be a LOT louder.
  8. No the Kit # at the top of the chart is a bundle, it includes all the parts listed beneath it. So just order the kit # line item for your respective truck, the kit differs based on if you have push button start or not and by color as stated previously in the thread.
  9. Just wanted to say thanks to all the documentation here, I spent the better part of 8 hours today replacing the knee panel, installing the fuse block, switches, and running a 4ga wire through the passenger side and back through the center console to the rear seat to mount an ARB compressor. Still need to run air lines, but if it wasn't for this post (came back in and referred to it at least 8 times) I wouldn't have got the entire dash apart and back together. Great documentation!
  10. Confirmed, I got the kit in the mail today from gmpartsdirect.com, just got the old panel removed (not fun) and will pull wires tomorrow before putting the new panel back in, but did a quick fit check and everything lines up on my 2500HD AT4...
  11. Well ordered 84942073 from gmpartsdirect.com, from everything I researched it should be the the correct kit for both the 1500 and the 2500HD.
  12. Looking for someone to confirm they've tried these on a 2500HD....
  13. Anyone know if the knee bolster is the same between the 1500 and the 2500HD platforms? I'm assuming everything referenced in this post is for the 1500 series trucks... tried ordering from gmpartsdirect and they said my VIN didn't match the kit.
  14. Nice setup, just ordered the ARB for my 2500HD AT4, was curious if you had any issues with heat-build-up on the compressor being under the seat? Want to mount my in the same manner (minus the Linx) funny enough was looking for doing the same with putting the quick connect in the foot wells. Was there a grommet you tapped out for the airline leaving the cab or did you just drill the holes directly? Awesome work
  15. Nice setup was looking to do the same in my 2020 AT4, did you run into any issues with the compressor overheating? Seems like these things run hot, so was just curious if you were getting enough airflow back there.
  16. So just ordered the same compressor for my AT4, wondering if you had any issues with heat using this install method? Seems like these things run hot so was worried about jamming it into a plastic box? Awesome post btw, as haven't seen any others on this. Was also thinking of running the airline out of the rear somewhere and mounting the quick-connect in the front foot wheel for the box for easier access, but haven't quite figured out where to put the hole for it...
  17. So this might be a stupid question, but can anyone confirm that these part #'s are the same between the 1500 and 2500HD trucks?
