Hey guys, hoping to get some advise on these trucks... my Dodge Ram has been an absolute money pit and literally spent more time in the driveway being fixed than on the road this past year.
Basically, I live in Ontario (rust)... looking for a 4 door 4x4 automatic. Not a work truck, not hauling anything. I'm just big/tall and cars don't fit.
Budget wise, looking at around a 2010 model with hopefully under 200,000km (125,000 miles).
Anything I should know? Common issues to watch for? are certain engines better than others? etc... and why do some have the 4x4 on the floor and some a dial on the dash? is one better?
Nothing worse than buying something, then when it breaks everyone says 'oh yeah, that'll happen on those, shoulda gotten the model with the XXXX instead'. Like my old Impala, where I shoulda gotten the 3.8l model, and shoulda gotten one with a trac control button.

Perfect... I was looking at 5.3l engines specifically but now I know. Is that AFM in all 5.3l or just some? Researching a bit more, I guess the difference between 4.8l and 5.3l is not much, and since not towing, the 4.8l is probably the better choice.
