I was driving on freeway at about 70 when I engine lost power and started making a lot of noise. I brought it in and found that engine was shot at 118,000 miles. I had every oil change done by GMC and at about 85,000 miles I noticed it started losing oil. every 5000 miles I would be down 2 full quarts. I had 2 oil consumption tests at 2 different dealers, and both said it was within the tolerance for oil consumption. I had an GM extended warranty till 110,000 miles but they still wouldn't do anything for me. Now I had to get a new crate engine. You would think GM would stand behind their product, but I guess not.
