I've had the same problem. Try putting your screen up, if you have that option. This will stop the devil from messing with your details. I replaced the radio with another used one and that one has the issue of the radio volume knob on the face not working. However the steering wheel control does still work. There are so many part numbers and only some cross over so I confirmed with the dealer before I bought the used unit. I found this thread while looking for options to change my touch screen portion from this to the other radio to see if that is an option and if it would work. If anyone has done this successfully I'd love to know. 2015 suburban 140k miles.
