Xy74, my parkbrake shoes separated from brake material, i had never used them and the bonding process let go. I wish supplier's would bring back brake material riveted to metal shoes.
Good writeup, my 2020 LTZ was done 3000 km ago, after market shoes, pretty much same story, dealer wanted $1500. My mechanic did it for just over $600.
When you change oil, take the time to grease it. Good chance dealer didn't first oil change, service manager said it didn't call for it till 50,000 km , I lost it on my service manager, for 5 minutes time to grease. Note, I do my own oil changes now!
I have ad blocker and the ad are really annoying. The small pop up ad with the ever smaller x in the corner is almost impossible to hit. Generally if I've missed the x and started the ad, it's delete time for the site on that day.
When my 2020 2500 LTZ went in for first oil change, I was under truck a few days later, and noticed zerks were dry . I asked at dealership, how during an oilchange the greasing was missed, the service tech told me not required to grease till 50000km, I ripped him a new hole, and have done my filters and grease since.
IUpdate Dec 22 , I was at dealer in 2021, couldn't create the noise, just recently , I used my experience working at the Oshawa Trk Plt (retired) ,in my shop, flat surface, rolled down front window , lifted door through window opening in door, door can be moved up and down on hinges and door latch plate with door fully closed and latched. I will be contacting GM and Skeld before returning to my dealership.
I have the same door noise, on my 20 LTZ withonly 2800 km, it sounds like the door bouncing on latch/door pin, both front doors, haven't been to dealer yet.
