Joke is on me. Took it to the dealership and they said since it was out of warranty I had to pay their hourly rate to update my software. No thanks

My truck started prompting me to update my software a couple of weeks ago. As soon as I put it in park it dings and an update shows up on my screen. The 1st time I tried it I was not hooked up to Wi-Fi so it did not work. I have pulled it into my garage and hooked up to my home Wi-Fi and tried several times to update but it never updates. I leave my radio on so I know it trying because the radio stays on after I lock the truck. I have a good enough Wi-Fi signal in my garage to run ring cameras which are further from the router but the truck won’t stay connected to my home Wi-Fi. i have also tried hooking to my hotspot on my phone. Same thing. It connects and then disconnects 20 seconds does anyone have any ideas or do I need to take it to the dealer and let the them update the software?

I have a 2021 gmc 1500 SLT. When i go from reverse to forward my mirror on the driver's side keeps running for about 15 seconds. Any idea what i could do to fix this besides replace the mirror? i do have the mirror set to move when I put it in reverse. Video Project 1.mp4

I just had the o rings on my front Bilstiens put in the very bottom slot. I guess this is stock height. All the noises went away.

I have a 2021 gmc 1500 with the 6.2 gas motor. i have had 2 times in 7-8 oil changes where my oil filter has come loose. The only way I notice it is when it rains and I have a slight oil slick in my driveway. 2 different shops did the work. The 1 st time it happened it was at a crappy shop and I lost at least 2 quarts. The filter was about 1/2 way off today I noticed it and the filter just needed tightening up and a 2/3 quart. The filter on it is the right filter for the truck. A honest shop did the last oil change. has anybody ever seen anything like this? Could it been something with where my filter connects to the truck? I am going to change my own oil next time I am at my camp and see if there are 2 O rings behind the filter or something else I can’t see.

I took it to a local shop yesterday that is known for hood work and they thought it was my lift arms binding when I turned. They said everything was tight and that is the only thing it could be. They recommended that I take it to a shop that specializes in lift kits to get a second opinion.

I went to make sure a new bottle jack would work for my 2021 NON AT4 1500 yesterday and I saw the jack pads on the beams that run parallel to the to the truck. They are behind the front axel. No jack I had would get the tire off the ground so these must be for mechanics hoists. where do you put the jack for changing a front tire? The owners manual just shows the jack pads mentioned above.

It sounds like a hammer hitting something solid and I can feel it in the steering wheel. Only happens when turning sharp or turning while going over bumps like gutters, etc

I have a 2021 1500 gmc that I put front and rear Bilstien’s on as soon as I got the truck. I bought it new. The shocks are set at 1 inch. It has made clicking noises when I turn sharp which have gotten worse over time. I was told that the cv angles are wrong and that is what is causing the noise. If this is true 1 option is to lower the shock by 1/2 inch. To do this the shop would have to tear down the entire front strut to adjust the shock. I was thinking that for close to the same price I could just replace the control arms with an aftermarket set. what do you think?

I am going to let GMC fix this. Never seen a bed liner rust.

I have a 2021 gmc 1500 that came from the factory with a spray in bed liner. A ring of rust has developed around the edge of the bed with the exception of the tailgate. Has anybody ever seen this before? I live in birmingham, Al so salt air and salt on the roads is not an issue. the only fix I know is to redo the liner. I never had this issue with a line x

Do you need to re tune after installing a new air intake?

Will unlocking the ECM and using a turner void the warranty or you able to go back to factory settings before you take it in for service? I have a 2021 Sierra with 6.2 gas engine
