    Just got back from the dealership. Looks like I have the problem outlined in the bulletin. The dealership needs a gasket after opening part of the engine to confirm that it is the case and with my luck, part is not available in Canada. Gasket should be in late next week. Then back to dealership to confirm the issue and another appointment to do the actual fix. Dealership confirmed that the cab must be removed from the chassis in order to repair.

    Not too bad. In my case, 3 week old as well and less than 1000 mi, has happened 9 times up to now. About every 9-10 startup. Truck is going in the shop tomorrow, will post an update with the outcome

    Do you have a tonneau cover? I know on mine, if I try to open the multipro gate, it will not. I have to open the full tailgate and then the multipro

    Was able to move the appointment up to next Wednesday. While talking to the Service advisor, I gave him the document ID 5840493 along with a video of the extended crank. Other link describing the issue: https://gm-techlink.com/?p=14824 He said it looks like the issue I am having. GM has this repair at 3.1 hours. He mentioned it should be closer to 5 hours.     Having the same issue with new 2021 Elevation. Truck has less than 1000KM or 650mi Has happened about 8 times now, can't find pattern. Hot, Cold, shut off for 8 hours, shut off for 5 minutes, no consistency. Dealer doesn't have any room before June 21st. Will post update after the service.
