  1. I tried this almost 6 weeks ago and wanted to wait before I replied to see if the fix worked or not. Last year I called gm and local dealers to try and get a fix under bumper to bumper cpo and they said no. (They wanted 200 for a water test and 900 for a window replacement) I first tried the gm kent sealer last year and that didnt work, I then tried a 3m seam sealer and that didnt work, then this post was made and thank goodness for this. IT WORKED I bought the SEM 39387 Sealer, the 3m strips and waemed the sealer in a bucket of hot water before applying and it worked awesome. The sealer came out like water and I could see air bubbles from where the cracks were on the window frame. I put a layer in first then added another layer on top. No more leaks, last week I did the fix on a friends Silverado.
  2. Add me to the list. I bought my truck certified pre-owned in July with 38k miles on it, 900 miles later I washed it again today and discovered the leak. I contacted my local dealership and they said it's not covered under the certified pre-owned bumper to bumper 12 month or 12k miles warranty. I called another dealership and they said the same thing. I told them about the TSB info and they said they can't fix because it's out of 36 month or 36k warranty. Bunch of BS. The window frame is cracked on the inside and that's where the water leaks. The dealer I bought the truck from is 3 hours away and all I get is someone will call you back. GM certified warranty is useless and a fraud. They never cover anything within the 12 months bumper to bumper. I had a 2016 sierra denali 5.3 with water leak problems and the same happened, the only reason I have this 2019 denali 6.2 is because I was given a lot for my 2016. The GM certified pre-owned advisor told me to contact the dealerships and that the leak should be covered but the dealerships say no and they want 300 for a reseal.
  3. I have a 2019 Sierra Denali 6.2 with the Borla S type and like J2Jones stated the cold start up is loud but after a couple seconds quiets down to deep growl. I feel I should've gone with the touring because of the loud start up, but my neighbors like my truck with the S- type they're always giving compliments and say it sounds like a truck should sound. On my 2016 Sierra Denali I had the gm performance exhaust installed and on every cold start it started like the truck farted and I hated it LOL. Overall I like the Stype, no drone in the cab and it's slightly quiet inside. Just the start up is a bit loud for my liking, but a million times better then the Fart my 2016 did on start up with the gm performance exhaust.
