Hello - I have a 93 c3500 with a 454 and need some help.
Original Issue:
While driving the engine began to surge and would begin to stall at the bottom of the surge, we were able to make it 2-4 miles back home but it died when pulling into the driveway. Engine would not immediately start back up. According to gauge it wasn't overheating. Oil pressure unknown (gauge needle bounces wildly and can't be read). Parked and left it overnight.
The next day the vehicle started and idled fine in the driveway. I took it for a short 2 block drive and noticed no issues. Brought it back, left it running and loaded it up to leave for a longer drive, not even a block out it began to stall and surge, turned around and made it back to the driveway where it died while pulling in. It would start back up, but died shortly after, subsequent starts would run shorter and shorter time before dying.
I then replaced:
Plugs
Plug Wires
Distributor Cap
Rotor
Ignition Control Module
Ignition Coil
Idle Air Control Valve
Coolant Temp Sensor
O2 Sensor
Fuel Filter
TPS
New fuel pump <6 mos and MAP was replaced around 8 mos ago.
The truck will start but dies within 1-3 minutes from a cold start.
I have uploaded video which shows the truck start, run and die in case this would be of any help. It is on Youtube at the link below:
