  1. The rest of the truck is fine. This oil consumption started pretty recently. It was not a gradual increase. It was pretty sudden. I did all recommended maintenance according to the owners manual. Just a weird situation
  2. Yea that’s what I figured. Then with the temps getting hotter, and the oil consumption it may be just time to throw the towel in. Thanks again
  3. Fluid is about 3.5 years old and 50,000 miles on it. Transmission clunks hard from 2nd to 1st. Also slips real bad sometimes too. I’ll look into the transmission mod, thanks for the feedback!
  4. The truck is a 2014 with the 4.3 and 6 speed and 163,000 miles. Recently, the truck seems to be consuming 3-4 quarts every 5,000 miles AND the transmission has recently been approaching temperatures of 235-245 under normal driving conditions. Anyone have similar experiences with this? If so, how was it fixed? I was thinking it’s time to get rid of it before I see a 8,000$ repair bill. Or is this considered “normal” for these trucks. Any feedback would Be appreciated. Im driving myself nuts thinking about it
