Ok I have a 93 gmc k1500 yesterday I snuggled up the exhaust on the driver side manifold as it was loose and loud as heck..
Also put a flex exhaust pipe in to repair a section between the cat and the muffler..
That's all I did..drove it for like 3 hours no problem..
This mornin I got in it and it wouldnt shift on it's own no power when in over drive gear or drive gear..
If i shift it manually its input wont kick into the hiwaygear at all.. trans is pretty fresh and works fine in reverse and in 4 low..its only the high gears that are not working..I'm thinking it's got to be an emissions thing or the cable that attaches to the tbi..
I have had 0 issues with the trans on this truck.... any suggestions is it the exhaust not mated right..unplugging the emissions made it a little. Etterim just at a loss..
