Hello, all!
My 2012 Silverado recently began displaying an intermittent "Service Stabiltrak" and/or "Service Traction Control" control-panel light. This is often accompanied by the vehicle's door locks cycling on/off. It also happens in conjunction with a general decrease in power, as well as the truck's transmission shifting up/down in range with very hard, "jerky" shifts. This will stop for a half-hour or so if I pull off the road and stop for a few minutes before resuming again. I have had one of the rear-wheel stabiltrak sensor units replaced, but this did nothing at all to alleviate the problem. I've seen enough blog entries to know that Stabiltrak issues are apparently a widespread and well-known problem with GM vehicles. Does anyone have any feedback in regard to a FIX that worked for their Silverado upon encountering this Stabiltrak/traction control" light issue and associated problems? Thanks in advance for any constructive opinions!
