I have a 2006 Silverado 5.3 2WD with 130k miles that has started to have an intermittent lifter tick on the driver side. It only does it at or close to operating temperature when stopped whether it be in drive or park. The tick is somewhat loud and goes away after a minute or two of driving. OIl pressure is around 37psi when at idle. I know this is a common issue and have read many different outcomes and fixes. A few of which was a motor flush which never really seems to help from what I could tell. I've seen a few people take the valve covers off and spray carb cleaner in the pushrods and then do a motor flush which seemed to work. I also know the o ring at the oil pump is a common problem and could be the reason. Or maybe I just need to replace the lifters. Any input and/or advice to start with would help a ton.
Thanks
Billy
