My 2003 tahoe has developed a battery drain. I have traced it to the PIC/DIC fuse and the to the cluster. I did a draw test and it is drawing 2.2 amps. But it cycles about every 20 seconds. acts like it is going to sleep and draw almost zeros out and then jumps back to 2.2 amps. Whn i pulled out the gauge cluster the constant draw goes away. The only isse i have noticed with the cluster is that it will flash all of the indicator light and you can hear the stepper motors when the key is turned on. this doesnt happen all the time. just random. I have opened up the cluster and everything appears to look ok. Will replacing the stepper motors fix this? Any other ideas or areas i should look at? Thank you!!
