  1. @Cojam1 thank you for crawling underneath your truck to get that picture for me. This is helpful and should be exactly what I need. Thanks again!
  2. I have a 2019 Silverado 6.2 that just got a new GM motor after a lifter failed and shredded the cam. The motor looks new from what little I can see, but I would like to further verify if possible. How can I physically verify that the auto shop installed a brand new GM 6.2L motor? The invoice has minimal information and only list the part number.
  3. Are there other variations apart from the standard 6.2 that came in my 2019 Silverado? I see several variations on the Chevy website, but I am unsure on what will fit and what will not.
  4. I have another recent topic on whether to replace lifters and cam, or do a motor swap after the L5 lifter failed and shredded the cam lobe. Sounds like I will be replacing the motor. With this in mind, are there other variations apart from the standard 6.2 that came in my 2019 Silverado? I see several variations on the Chevy website, but I am unsure on what will fit and what will not. It must be a direct fit or as close to it as possible or I doubt the mechanic would consider swapping.
  5. Appreciate everyone’s response. The truck is in excellent shape. 100% garage kept and regularly maintained.
  6. The truck is with a privately owned shop, not a dealer since it’s past warranty. Sounds like she’s getting a new motor.
  7. I have a 2019 Silverado (new body style) with a 6.2 and 90k miles. The L5 lifter collapsed in the “down position” as the mechanic referred to it. Pretty much gridded the cam down to nothing. Here are the quotes they offered. $6500 to replace the cam and all 16 lifters $9200 to swap the motor with a GM crate motor (does come with a 100k mile warranty) Given the circumstances, are these the only/best options? Are there any concerns or benefits to either that would help weigh on the decision? I’d prefer to sell it after this experience, but it would be difficult to fork out another $xxxxx in addition to either fix. Any insight or advice is helpful. I need to make a decision by Monday.
  8. How’s the ride quality with the spacer on top in conjunction with the Bilstein? This was a very good write up and helpful. Thanks!
  9. What size rear block did you use?
  10. @Christopher Biggers Did you ever find an answer to this?
  11. Calling out @Duramax3oh I am inquiring to learn more about your bilstein setup. If you don’t mind to post a full summary, it would be greatly appreciated. I am looking for the following info. 1. More pics of your truck 2. Clear description of each added component in your lift setup (item #’s included if you can) 3. Wheel and tire size 4. Overall satisfaction of the products and any comments that might be beneficial to know. I understand that some of this might be repeated information from other discussions, but it would help me consolidate everything relevant in one place. Thank you
