I need to find the VIN stamped on the firewall, the frame, the chassis somewhere. I cannot find it, Chevy cant tell me where it is... I drove from California to Costa Rica and in order to nationalize the truck the inspector from Riteve needs to visually see the VIIN on the frame / chassis. They will not accept the tamperproof stickers in the glovebox, the drivers door or the riveted plate on the dashboard. MY truck is stuck in customs so I cant go there and dig around for it.... Anyone please help me, i have already paid 12,000 for import taxes, license and registration but cant take delivery of my vehicle until Riteve approves the inspection of the truck.
