  1. Hi there - wondering if you ever got this figured out? I have had the same exact thing on my 22 sierra 6.6 gas. Makes me crazy. Thank you.
  2. Bumping to the top with an update - went to another dealer that has been much more helpful. Confirmed the spark knock is there and sent a bunch of data to GM - hooked up to a couple computers and replicated on the road. Hoping they can create an update for the timing/fuel management to address.
  3. Thank you - even if I can just hear that it is somewhat normal that makes me feel better given what these trucks cost! Appreciate the response.
  4. Does anyone else have what sounds like an engine spark knock or ping noise usually around 20-25mph when you push the gas pedal but just below the point where it needs to downshift? As usual the dealers says its normal. If it is, so be it, but I have to say I am disappointed in the quality of these trucks. Between finding acorns inside the body channels under the hood and having to surgically remove with a camera and long grabber to my ongoing power steering whine (not the rushing noise) to this ping noise I am not impressed. Thanks in advance.
  5. Thank you - thats the same document I was referring to. I am by no means a mechanic, I definitely hear the rushing noise. Seems separate from the whining noise to me though. Perhaps they are related. The whine is very apparent and different.
  6. Wondering if anyone has had luck with some resolution on the whining noise? I have a 2022 GMC 2500 6.6 gas and have both the power steering hydraulic rush noise and the whining noise. Honestly its making me crazy. Dealer has looked at it a couple times and had the local GM rep down and I'm told its "normal" and they are referencing the GM service document ID 5900971 that only covers the rushing noise and not the whine. I have a case with GM and honestly couldn't be more disgusted with their customer service. I had to chase them down for two weeks to even get a call back. The customer service rep had not read anything on my case and offered no help. Said she would contact the dealer and never did. Spoke to her supervisor a week later and was basically told to go to another dealership. He said I could not escalate further and could not speak with his supervisor. Basically he was the end of the line. I understand through my research there are a lot of trucks out their that don't have this whining noise. Thanks in advance for any info anyone might have.
