  1. I have had this noise as well as have others. From what GM and the local dealer told me, this noise is normal and likely the HP fuel pump for direct injection.
  2. I was looking for a kit that did not require air in the bags when not needed so I went with the Logic IQ kit. It was a very easy installation and works absolutely amazing. The kit I put on was included the HD 2 channel compressor which controls pressure in each side independently to avoid body roll in a corner. I ordered the remote with it to keep in the truck but the app works well too...can easily control with either. I use it to level my truck when towing, not as a way to carry weight above my cargo capacity. One benefit I was not aware of when I bought the kit was that the newest models of the compressor include an internal voltage monitor which is used to prevent the compressor from running when the truck is off. It does that by reading the higher voltage available when the truck is running as a permissive to run the compressor. I tested that...works great. No relay needed...just go straight to the battery. There is a wire there to use as a trigger if you want to use a keyed power signal but you don't need to use it. Overall - easy install and looks clean. There is a video on Youtube showing an install on an AT4X 2500.....not my truck but is a good video to understand the kit I used. The compressor bracket shown in the video does not include the step where the excess is cut off to avoid catching stuff...the instructions say to cut that off which I did. The power running boards do not leave alot of room for the compressor as shown but it was no issue to install.
  3. I have a 2024 At4X HD - outside temperature sensor consistently reads 4-6 degrees high compared to local temps, bank temps, my Ford Explorer, etc. Doesn't matter if it is night or day however when it is sunny it reads even higher (I realize the sensor is in the mirror which has a black housing). Has anyone figured out how to fix this? The local dealer looked at me strange when I explained what was going on.
  4. I was told this was normal and not to worry about it. Have heard since then this is a common issue given the direct injection. My truck continues to make the sound regardless of what octane I use...just stopped listening for it now. Otherwise the truck has been great.
  5. So the bolt in the rubber bushing is centered in the bushing now?
  6. I have the same rattle...goes away around 1000 rpm. I looked at my coolant tank and my only question is does the rubber bushing simply ride on the bolt (it is not snug) or should there be a nut there. If I jiggle the tank you can hear the bushing slapping. BTW this bushing is on the firewall.
  7. I have had mine in twice for the same noise...was told nothing wrong though the noise is obviously there. Never had this on any other truck I have owned including other GMs.
  8. I always get the plow prep if I can...truck tends to not squat in front as much over time and I may actually plow with the truck (varied over the years). Sure, if I go over a set of RR tracks at high speed or hit alot of bumps at speed it jumps a little but for all around driving I am very happy. As for tire pressures, I tend to tow at least 1-2 a month so I leave the pressures up. yes, the tires are metric size. I have had other 2500 and 3500 trucks in the last 6 years - Ford and GMC - my SD Ford rode good too but not any better than my at4x. It was not the Tremor package. I have ridden in Ram 2500s as well which are alot worse. Everyone who has ridden in my truck is really surprised how well it rides for a 2500. Maybe my expectations are lower on what a good ride is LOL. I like a "truck ride feel" so my definition of a good ride may be off from what others feel a good ride is. If I wanted a really smooth ride I would go with a 1500.
  9. I have the plow prep package on mine as well...GAWR FRT is 6000lb, GAWR RR is 6600lb. I run 65 psig in the front, 55-60 psig in the rear - aligns with the door sticker recommendation. Yes, front is higher than rear.
  10. My 2500 AT4X rides really nice....not quite 1500 quality but definitely nice. I have the gas engine but have owned a diesel as well and found the heavy engine helps smooth the ride.
  11. Mine has the same noises as you have described...slight chirp and the normal fuel injection tick. Dealer has looked at it twice and said it is not an issue and is normal. It is not getting worse just annoying for a new truck. Otherwise I love the 6.6gas
  12. Thanks for the replys....sounds like this is a normal issue but I will continue to watch it.
  13. Thanks! I will do that.
  14. I have a new 2024 GMC HD with the 6.6L gas engine - am getting a "pinging" noise upon acceleration which is noticeable with the window down, especially when driving past a building or roadside trees. My local dealer said this noise is normal - likely the fuel injector pump. I have never had a GM truck that made this noise...was wondering if this is truly a normal noise for gas HD trucks or should I push the dealer more on this? I am a little reluctant to go back to them unless there is a service bulletin or verified known user issue. Other than the noise which is not overly loud, the truck runs and pulls great. Anyone have experience with the same thing? Fuel changes to 91 octane did not do much (maybe a little).
