Four wheel drive question. Today I got stuck in a snowy field. While in four wheel drive I was trying to accelerate forward. In doing so my four wheel drive made a loud clunk/ crunching noise. Instantly the dash said four wheel drive disengage. I can turn the knob and the dash will say it is engaging or disengaging but all I have is two wheel drive. The truck was pulled out to a dry road. I drove the truck home but it clicks and clunks. Sounds like bad axle shaft noises. Any ideas on what I broke? Anyone else have the same issues?
