  1. Matt, This sounds exactly the same as what was happening to my truck and the fix that I posted here on May 21, 2022. This issue has been solved for me. Update: My dealer checked the front door gaps and they were within tolerance even though the driver side door gap was visibly larger than the passenger (noise was always coming from the driver side). They replaced both front door weatherstrips (85530936 and 85530937) under warranty. I was able to drive yesterday at 75 mph in a 25-35 mph crosswind and was unable to duplicate the wind/howling noise. I'm considering this issue solved but will report here if it reoccurs.
  2. I appreciate all the advice. I removed the bottom cover and tightened a small ziptie around the microswitch. I did not even have to remove the switch from its mount. Works perfectly now. I'll mention it the next time I take it in for service but won't lose any sleep over it if nothing else is done. Thanks everyone for the diagnosis and fix suggestions.

  4. The howling noise on the driver side door happened to me again today when I was traveling 75 mph in a strong crosswind. It does this anytime there is a strong headwind or crosswind at interstate speeds. I called my service advisor and he was able to hear it for himself so I have an appointment next week. On a cross-country trip last summer, I was able to eliminate the noise by rolling down the driver side window and applying a strip of painters tape over the gap in the door frame from the bottom forward edge of the window to the top rear corner of the door. This is on the door frame. I'm able to keep the window functional. A bit frustrating since you have to remove the tape any time you need to get out of the truck but it has allowed me to narrow the search a bit and eliminate the howling. The audio file posted here by Hunter103 on 10/14/21 is exactly the same noise I am getting. I have multiple videos of this. I'll report any findings ASAP.
