Hey fellers, Zero gravity performance has a fully functional controller for the 6L80 and 8L90 and I was wondering if anyone knew what it would take to mount an 8L90 in the place of the 4L60, and I know I know "why would you want to swap to an 8l90 or 6l80 go 4L80 and don't look back" I play on swapping a 6.0 into my rig when funds allow for it and I know the 4l60 wont last me very long and I don't want to get left stranded with 4 neutral gears and if I am going to convert too a different trans I might as well do an 8 speed swap and have a trans that's really fun to drive now that I know that the 8L90 swap should be possible and it is pretty damn strong once its short comings are addressed heck gm rates them too handle 715Ft pounds of torque. I really love how the 8 speeds drive especially compared too a 4l60 so I think it would be worth it too look into what it would take to swap one in. has anyone done this swap on a 4wd? and does anyone have info on what it would take too put one in this platform?
