I am not the original owner, but the title was transferred with only 6,000 miles. Didn't notice any vibration or shake until around 25k miles. It was very slight and progressively got worse, it was only and issue at certain ranges of speed. Since I wasn't the owner I never received any notices even though I updated all info with GMC. The nickname I heard was The Chevy Shake. The issue, as I understood it, was GMC put the wrong transmission fluid in it. Obviously my truck had the issue but GMC said my VIN was not included in the list of problem vehicles. Dealership wanted around $700 and GMC said they'd do what they could to help. Didn't trust that at all. Friend of mine owns a auto service & repair business. He said he was familiar with the issue and, although he works exclusively on Honda, Acura, Toyota & Lexus; he said he'd do it one night after they closed. I paid for everything. He did the drain, flush, clean and fill. I live about 15 miles from his shop and by the time I was 2 miles from the house 75% of the issue was gone. Over the next day the issue was completely gone. Took a 350 mile roundtrip drive the next week and not a single issue. Had it all done for $200. Trusted my buddy more than the dealership.
