  1. Figured it out. Settings- vehicle- collision/ detection- then park Assist Towbar. Set it for either attached or not attached
  2. I'll try this tomorrow. Don't want to take hitch out as I use it frequently and it weighs 48lbs.
  3. When in reverse, I have backing cameras and I get within a couple inches of anything and no warning at all. Going forward, the seats vibrate even though I have it set for sound warning
  4. My 3500 is warning me when I'm getting too close with the frontof truck to something. Nothing with the rear though. I have a hitch in but that shouldn't stop the warning bells. I've gone into settings and checked both bells and seat warnings and still nothing. Does the hitch really stop this from going off?
  5. I've had this 2024 for 3 months now and just started using it with my trailers. Coming from a F450 2021. I've had my fifth wheel with 10 ton and bumper hitch with 10 ton total on the gmc now so getting a feel for it. What I like about truck: Handles the weight better than my 450 did. I'm very surprised about that. I would get pushed around with the 450 but the gmc is not as bad. Cameras are good but on bumper hitch the camera is off when lining up. Like the camera being on when I use turn signal. Mpg is similar between trucks. Def usage doesn't seem drastically different. What I don't like: Small fuel tank -36 for gmc and 48 for Ford. Hate sun roof. It's included in this level truck but my head is always hurting ceiling. Turn radius on Ford was great but don't miss it like I thought I would. Engine brake is not as aggressive- wish it was
  6. Yes. Can't find the gauge I used to check pressure so thought I could get both in one tool. Has to be for dually tires
  7. Looking for a combo of air gauge/ air chuck that will be used on a 2024 gmc dually. Something durable and easy to use. Thanks in advance
  8. Everything about ordering a Chevy and GMC has been great for me. I ordered a 3500 high country in late June and it came in early September. Another dealer ordered one in my name and it came in the same day. I had ordered a GMC Denali ultimate thru a fleet plan at same time. Didn't take the 2 Chevys due to dealer shenanigans but am picking up the GMC tomorrow. Meanwhile, it's been over a year waiting on a Ford and counting. GM has been quick and communicating very well. Ford has been just the opposite- no communicating at all.
  9. Is there some sort of protective piece that can be put on the tailgate in case I forget, or it decides to open on its own, that will protect the tailgate?
  10. I'm looking forward to it. Last Chevy diesel was a 2005 duramax. No pollution controls. That was a good engine. It took till the last couple years to get them close to what they were 18 years ago. I'm still keeping my Ford on order - I can always switch back if things don't work out. That's if Ford can make a truck
  11. I'm picking up a gmc dually diesel layer this week. I started in Chevys back in 1995 and switched to Ford in 2008 when I couldn't find a Chevy because of the bailout. 15 years later I'm back to GM because Ford can't make a truck. I'm looking forward to it - I still have a Ford on order if they ever make it. I'm looking for any suggestions or advice. 1. What kind of mileage should I expect? 2. Def usage? 3. Easy to use tech? I'm coming from a 2021 Ford diesel. I didn't want to switch but I change every 3 years and I've waited over a year for a new Ford with no end in sight. Thanks for the help!
  12. Thanks for the reply. The most important thing in looking for is capacity. Do you know what theweight limit is on the bw hitch you have? Would love to not worry about dinging the tailgate.
  13. This is more what I'm looking for. I have to have as much capacity as possible. Thanks. I hear the multi pro tailgate can hit the hitch. Is yours clear with this hitch?
  14. I'm coming from a Ford. Looking for the best hitch - comfort, capacity. Truck has the multi pro tailgate. Bumper hitch could be pulling a solid 20000 at times. I would like a 5-6 inch drop also. I have the curt hitch for the fifth wheel that I used with Ford. Will that work with the gmc?
  15. Update: I didn't take either truck. Both dealers were somewhat dishonest and changed terms. Both trucks were sold to other customers in a short period so no one was harmed. I now have an opportunity to get a Denali ultimate dually for fleet price. Several things I'm concerned about - turning radius is larger, lower bumper rating on hitch, smaller fuel tank. Ant other concerns I'm not aware of?
