I had my dealer setup my OnStart account since I had a VIN number. Only drawback is that the clock starts ticking on the "free" period. Once setup you can use the map function of the myGMC app. I setup a Location Alert on the vehicle and I got a notice when the vehicle left the location indicated. Make the circle as small as you can as they moved my truck from one area of the lot to another just before it actually left. Good indication it's about to go. That was about a week for me. Was pretty cool to watch it travel from Flint to my dealer. I knew when it arrived before they did. Picked it up yesterday. Pretty awesome truck so far. Very happy with it.

3500 Denali Ultimate Duramax SRW long box built 8/1 just arrived at the dealer today. Left Flint MI around 9:00am and arrived here in Rochester NY at 4:45pm (tracked it with OnStar location alerts). Pick it up tomorrow! Official delivery date stayed "Oct-Dec 23" until the day it shipped I think. Dealer said that has been pretty typical.

Thanks for the detailed update. It really helps understand the overall process. I agree that for the initial order and allocation portion, the dealers will be less than transparent and I experienced some of that. My build week was 7/31, it was built and I have a VIN number but I am in some kind of hold near Flint plant, waiting for shipment. The sales manager showed me the status screen on his computer that listed my delivery date as Oct 2023 - Dec 2023. Not sure if it is on hold because of a missing part or just waiting my turn for spot on car transport. They cannot get any more information than that as far as I know. Because they have several trucks in the same situation they have been toying with the idea of sending one of their own car transports (larger dealer) but indicated that a previous attempt was unsuccessful because union employee would not release the keys or something like that and they had to return empty handed.

My truck was built during the week of 7/31 in Flint. It is still waiting to be shipped. The expected date is literally listed as Sept - Dec 2023. Dealer says he has several trucks waiting for delivery to Rochester NY. Anyone else having the same issue? Anyone know why there is a hold up?

My build week is 7/31. Sounds like I will have my 3500 Duramax Ultimate SWR mid-August based on shipping time for other folks.

Hey nitro882, thanks for getting back to me. The custom cap has a sleeping platform that extends over the cab so I need some height measurements too. Below is their list of measurements. I will attach their photos too as some of the measurement descriptions are a bit vague. Let me know if you have any questions. Huge thanks, otherwise, I'd have to wait 6 weeks after receiving the truck to get cap.

Anyone know where to find exact dimensions for a 2024 HD 3500 with long box? I need a few different measurements for custom cap I am having made for my Ultimate with a 7/31/23 build week. There is a 6 week build time for the cap so I want to get that started asap. If someone has access to a 2024 HD 3500 with long box I'd really appreciate if you could take some measurements. I have a list of measurements from the cap manufacturer that I will send. Thanks!
