2 years later I’m looking into the same thing. What did you end up doing? Pretty sure I have the same truck as you based on your comments

I have had the same issues with the screen going black and freezing. It then refuses to recognize my phone. I restart the truck and sometimes that works but a lot of the time it still doesn’t work. I have gone through many phone resets and many new Apple and non Apple cords all to no avail. Recently I had the Bluetooth stop working as well for no reason. After forgetting devices and restarting the truck that works again. But this issue has been since day one of driving it off the lot and as others have said the dealership cannot replicate the issue. It drives me nuts! I just don’t want to have to look at my phone while navigating places. I drive a lot for work and having this issue has driven me to try and replace to an aftermarket head unit. Unfortunately I cannot find a compatible unit for this year truck. 2020 Silverado 1500 Trail Boss Custom 5.3 V8 Anyone found a good solution?
