Hey everyone, so I’ve seen many discussions about this topic but I’ve never really seen an actual fix to these codes just bypasses or relocations, I have a 2001 Chevy Silverado 4.8l and noticed I had a code stored “p0327” seeing it’s pretty tedious to get under the intake manifold I decided if I was gonna replace one I’d replace both and get a new harness, I ended up going with a kit from O’Reillys doorman brand that came with both knock sensors and a harness I ended up putting those in the truck and sealed the rubber boots as instructed by many people who have done this job, afterwards I went ahead started my drive cycle and about 30 minutes in I noticed the same code (p0327) joined by p0332 this time, not thinking it could be the new sensors I put in I checked the wires leading to the computer and did further research to see what my problems could be everything looked to be alright and decided I could’ve bought faulty sensors ended up replacing those with another set of doorman brand knock sensors and redoing the job another time, … no luck. the codes came back again after trying to complete my drive cycle I looked into the doorman brand sensors and seen many poor reviews and that they were pretty hit or miss with very few good ratings, further googling and reading people recommended I go with “Ac Delco” sensors so I did and I went ahead and bought the harness as well brand “duralast” from Autozone went ahead put them in the truck and did my drive cycle again and with no surprise the codes reappeared pending “p0332 and p0327” anyone have any ideas of what could be triggering these codes.
