  1. I have had people with 2023 & 2022's, see how mine is, and said theirs is NOT like that. (but i have not been in them trucks or driven it myself. (maybe if there are any 2022 & 2023 2500hd Durmax guys on here, they can chime in too)
  2. We need more people to go to the dealer and express their concern about how dangerous this potentially can be! The more complaints their data base shows, then they are more apt to see there is a bigger issue and not some lonely guy from southern Maine that "thinks" there is an issue. There clearly IS AN ISSUE I even called On-Star, and told them (they have a quality department) my issue/concern
  3. I agree, i just want it to be an OEM fix/update. (while its under warranty)
  4. I agree, i know its in programming, and think they OVER programmed it, and it is definitely SOOOO DANGEROUS! I hope a GM guy can see this issue, because the dealer has no clue, and shrugs their shoulders at it.
  5. Hi guys, I have 2024 GMC 2500 Sierra with the 6.6L Duramax. My issue is this, From a DEAD STOP when you try and punch the throttle to get out into traffic, it does not react instantly at all! What it does is creep aprox 1 to 2 MPH for 2 to 2.5 seconds, then it will speed up to where ever the throttle pedal position is at that time. Its VERY DELAYED, and is actually dangerous. (it has done this since day one (6/1/23) and now i have 4,200 miles on it, and im told there is not a "governed/limited break in period" either when it would restrict that) I've brought it in to the dealership (8/14/23) to see if was "normal" for the 2024's, and as expected, they said yes it seems like other 2024's. I know of someone who has the Chevy version of my truck (with the 6.6L Duramax) BUT his is a 2023 (not a 2024) and his does NOT have that delay at all. I also know of a person with a 2020, and his also does NOT have this issue. (so i think its a 2024 issue/change) Im sure GM programmed them this way in 2024 (part of the software program, and there is not a motor or transmission issue at all) I called OnStar 8/14/23 and had them pass me over to the GM "Issue" department and let them know what i was up against, and how it is potentially dangerous and may even be life threatening (in my honest opinion). But at least there is a note at my dealer, and direct to GM (through OnStar) too. I was looking to see is anyone has a 2023 or 2024 6.6L Duramax that is experiencing my same issue of a throttle delay from a DEAD STOP take off when your throttle is at mid or full throttle?? Please chime in with your feedback please, so we can hopefully speak up to get a software update to resolve this issue. I did try a Banks Pedal monster on my 2024, but it did NOT do anything for the dead stop takeoff delay at all! (feedback on that too please, good or bad), but it did solve the already cruising speed acceleration responsiveness, and was a BIG difference in that department! (i will say that i called Banks on the "reverse over ride to stock" function, because it would not recognize my truck to activate the reverse override function. They said there was a change GM made to the programing for 2024 trucks, and Banks is working on an update that they will send out once they figure it out. So i was thinking maaaaaaybe the same thing is going on for the "instant take off" function, where as Banks could improve that for me/us as well)
