A physical button to turn off the display or the entire infotainment system would definitely be nice. I think one of the newer Chevy vehicles have it - maybe the traverse.

I'm looking to add more light to the back of the truck (2023 Silverado 1500 LT) for more visibility when backing up in the dark. LED bulb replacement is not an option for me, since I have aftermarket tailights. I looked into VLED LP-X but customer support told me it wont work because Silverado's trailering system will interfere with it. I asked if I could wire tap into the cargo light wires, so that the lights turn on when I toggle on cargo lights, but he wasn't sure if that would work or not. Anyone have tried VLEDS or any other types of lights for reverse light? Any recommendations welcome!

I just bought a new 23 Silverado about 2 months ago, and this annoying issue happens to me probably about 1 out of 10 times. It fixes itself when I go into settings and restart the infotainment in "safe mode", but I can't do that when the vehicle is moving (UI doesn't let you), and when this happens while I'm on the freeway I'm screwed since I can't just stop the vehicle. It's very annoying and ruining my otherwise great experience with the truck.

Trying to educate myself as I'm pretty new to this. How do I know what kind of tires fit for my truck? I have 18" stock aluminum wheels, so I understand I need x/y/R18 tires, but I don't really understand what x and y size I can get (other than 265/65 that came from factory of course).

Installed Westin pro traxx 5 side steps. Sort of regretting it. Didn't realize it would sit so low to the ground. It's only 6 3/4 inches off the ground. If I had known how low they were I would've gotten something else. Debating if I should swap out the tail lights to either LED bulbs or an LED smoked out unit.

Just bought this over the weekend. First truck and first Chevy. Super excited. New 2023 LT 2.7 4WD. Was surprised to see this on the dealer lot. I thought all LTs came with chrome bumpers, but this one had blacked out bumpers and 18 inch blacked out wheels, which I've never seen before. The Chevy website doesn't even let me build it like this, so I'm not sure how the dealer had this stocked. Whatever the case, was super excited to find it and pick it up!

I've seen pictures of people fitting 3 child seats in the back of their silverados/trucks, and want to figure out how they did it. I just got a new Silverado 2023 Crew cab recently, and noticed that only the left and right rear seats have the lower anchors, and the center does not. Are people using the normal seat belt to secure the 3rd middle child seat, instead of using the anchors? Is there an option to install anchor to the middle seat? Any suggestions welcome!

Any recommendations for passenger side view blind spot mirror? It’s interesting that the driver side view mirror has the curved mirror on the top corner to help with blind spots, but the passenger side does not. I want to get one for the passenger side that has similar looks to the driver side. Any recommendations?

Ah, I had no idea the 24 model gets a different 8 speed transmission than the 23. Do you know if the transmission on the 23 the same one that's apparently had issues few years ago? I've heard some mentions online of older 8 speed transmission being not great.

Hi all, Im currently looking to buy a new 1500 LT 2.7, and I've noticed that there aren't a lot in stock, but the few there are are selling for about $7-8k below MSRP. Is this historically (excepting pandemic) a good deal? This is my first time buying a truck so I don't really know what the truck market usually looks like. I'm not sure if the discounts are largely due to 2024 model coming out soon, or due to market returning to pre-pandemic levels. Trying to see if it makes sense to buy now, or wait for 2024 and expect at least some discounts on that as well.
