New brakes and rotor all the way around and the leaf and coil springs are good. New carrier bearings.

I have a 99 chevy Silverado 1500 2wd extended cab/ third door with a short bed. I noticed a clunking noise and replaced all 3 u-joints and the carrier bearing but the clunk seems to be worst and now makes the noise in reverse. I'm at my wits end with chasing the noise. When I lift the back end up the noise does not present itself. I have also added gear oil to the rear differential with no luck. Please help its my only working vehicle.
