They are great. We have 5 of these on trucks, probably have 400k+ miles since these multi gates came out and haven't had one hit yet. We don't put them in the stow position. We pull trailers and load the beds with construction stuff nearly every day so we leave the ball ready to hook up to a trailer at all times. I highly recommend, should be standard hitch for these trucks.
