  1. Just to give an update, the issue was a module behind the infotainment center that controls the On-Star.
  2. Just to give an update, the issue with the exhaust brake appears to be torque converter related. AFter much aggravation and fighting with it, they found the issue happens during deceleration when it goes into 5th gear around 35-40 mph. The engine rpm and the input shaft on tranny rpm are not syncing, which is causing the truck to go into derating mode and codes to come up. They put a new torque converter into it and it seems to have fixed the issue at hand, however now it leaks tranny fluid from what appears to be the input shaft area of transmission. I'm done fighting with it. The truck is going back to GM for a buy back hopefully and i'll start over with another new one.
  3. Hey All, bought a GMC 2500 SLT back in November. Have had one problem after another with it. Has been in shop 2/3 of the time since January as it would keep going into limp mode when i used the exhaust brake. Finally they put a torque converter in it a few weeks ago and now its leaking transmission fluid from what i would say appears to be the front seal. I'm done with it. Truck has 5700 miles on it, half of them dealership put on, and is just unreliable. Maybe a Friday build or something, idk. I have started the buyback process now as i am hoping i can find a twin to this truck and hopefully just have much better luck. Has anybody dealt with this before and would you have any advice if you have? Thanks
  4. HotShots EDT is pretty good, but Archoil is the cream of the crop. Archoil really helps with DPF cleaning and keeping from doing regens!
  5. I can ask for it next time i go there. I'm not familiar with that but i can ask. There were originally going to replace ECM I believe, but the engineers said not to cause it wasn't problem. Apparently there are multiple trucks out there with this problem and no fix yet. Not sure why the engineers think its not the problem.
  6. I have a 2025 GMC 2500 Sierra with Duramax. Its not in the shop for the 4th time for the same issue, but this time they had a recording computer hooked to it to see if they could diagnose it. So far they have been unable to figure out the cause of the issue which is it goes into limp mode, traction control light comes on, service light on, reduced accleration message. After shutting it off, giving a little bit and restarting, everything but the check engine light goes away. AFter it sits a day, that does away as well. Its giving P060C code. Softwares have been flashed multiple times, new gateway module put in it, and GMC regional tech has been there over 15 hours working on it and found nothing. So when i took it in Saturday morning, the service manager saw that i had made note that i had the exhaust brake on. He immediately said this may be whats causing it. He said you can't use that unless on the highway and pulling a trailer of some sort, and that the owners manual states that. I have looked up the exhaust brake in owners manual and there is nothing saying you can't use it in town or without a trailer or anything to that affect. This issue has happened to me 5 times now since beginning of the year, twice with exhaust brake on, 3 times without it on so that alone tells me it is not the issue. Has anybody else experienced this type of issue with exhaust brake? Been told you can't use it in town or without trailer? Given any conditions you cannot use the exhaust brake for? I feel like this is a copout basically because they don't know what else to say. They have a tech case open with GM and i have case open with GM also for possible buy back or something else if issue gets fixed. Anybody have any thoughts or experienced anything similar to this?
  7. I have a 2025 GMC 2500 that has been having a P060C code showing up and goes into limp mode. Truck only has 4100 miles on it. Dealer has tried several things and had tech cases thru GM open and had regional GM tech there who has spent over 25 hours diagnosing with no answers. This is 3rd time in shop for this issue in last 10 weeks. They have had my truck more then i have. I have started the GM buy back process, and was wondering if anybody has gone through this and what your experience was with it. Did they buy back vehicle at full price, replace the vehicle with new one, or just basically stiff ya and not help at all. Did you have to hire an attorney for this if you did it? Just looking for thoughts and real life experiences as i start to migrate through this disaster. Thanks
  8. GM engineers are already involved with this and we started to possibly pursue buy back program as there is no known fix for the issue and the issue is happening to others as well. What will sending this email accomplish that hasn't already been done if i may ask?
  9. How did they diagnose the high pressure fuel rail if i can ask? My 2025 GMC 2500 is currently in the shop for the 3rd time for this issue and the P060C code. They updated the pcm and ecm the first time, replaced the gateway module last week, and still doing this. I think they are grasping at straws right now. I am looking at starting the lemon law process as I have been without my truck for well over 30 days of the 4 months i have owned it. Not a happy feeling. Thanks
  10. I have a 2025 2500 that is doing this. But is setting codes and goes into limp mode. Its been to dealer and going back again today. It acts like it wants to surge or gain speed when you let off the accelerator, especially at lower speeds like coming up to a stop sign. Tranny shifts really hard then and clunks loudly. I did have the exhaust brake on the one time it happened. Other times I did not. I guess they will see what they tell me this time. I've told them this time I don't want truck back till its fixed. Only had it for 3 months and its been is shop half that time. Very frustrating.
  11. I know its a stretch, but will the dealer you got it from provide a loaner? Doesn't help with your truck, but at least your not stranded if you can figure out how to get it. I have a 2025 2500 and its in shop now for 3rd time in as many months of owning it. Was towed in this time and they haven't figured out whats wrong. TCS light and check engine came on when hit a bump, went into limp mode, and sounded like tranny was gonna explode each time it shifted, so who knows.
  12. Can't wait. Keep seeing things from other companies, just don't know anything about them. Definitely believe what Banks sells to be the best on the market.
  13. Just following this for updates as they are made on here. Have 2025 GMC 2500 with Duramax and interested in this as it becomes available.
  14. I'll have to look at when it was built. I'm not sure how to see the recalls/update information or where that is at.
  15. Just got my 2025 duramax home little over week ago. Check engine light came on and giving code. Took to dealer and they said a module in the radio that connects to onstar went bad but on recall. Something to do with the SDG handshake. Now i sit and wait and can't use my GM phone app to start truck or do anything. Brand new truck not even 500 miles on it. Very frustrating. Not to mention i'm getting no use of my free ONstar trial period now.
  16. I have a 2025 GMC Sierra 2500HD with Duramax. Truck only has little over 500 miles on it and only had it for week or so. I'm getting check engine light and its giving code U1962 showing with it. Has anybody experienced this? I have appointment with dealer to get it in, but shouldn't be having this with only 500 miles on it. Very frustrating.
