I have a 2019 3500hd diesel LTZ and also a 2021 GMC AT4 HD diesel. We like the 6 speed ALOT better. Side by side the 2019 will smoke the 2021. The 10 speed seems to always be in torque management and always trying to shift. The six speed puts you back in the seat and it feels like you’re in a slingshot. Our camper weighs 14,000 pounds and we still like the power of the 2019 better. I even pulled McDonald pass at full throttle with no problems. We actually took the 2019 on our trip from Montana all the way down to South Dakota and back up around. Couple thousand miles and we chose the 2019 because it pulls better. I can imagine the 10 speed would be better if we were towing more weight and it could stretch the gears out a little bit further. So I guess I should revise my statement, to say that we like the six speed for towing loads that are 14,000 pounds or less. The 10 speed also has some problem with the valve body and we just got a factory recall.
