Hello, I am in the same situation. I have a 2019 Chery Silverado and the screen is showing that the front brake pads have 14% and the rear 42% of life. I took it to replace them, and the shop told me that they were still good, but suggested taking the truck to the GMC-authorized shop. They revised it and said that to fix it it needs to be replace the sensor and brake pads. Now, I am looking at a bill of $963, plus the first bill of $185. GM indeed said that those are the owner's expenses, but it is not fair to make the expense if the brake pads are still good, and we have to change everything because the sensor is not working according to the pads. It will need to be fixed.
