  1. Hey yall. Got an update. Took truck to a local mechanic who had a very sophisticated code reader. He cleared some brake pedal position codes and did a "relearn/calibration" on it and now my cruise control works without issue. Took about 10 minutes and gave him $20 for his time. I don't know why I never knew you had to calibrate the switch if you installed a new one, but I'm glad I got it figured out. Thanks for y'alls input.
  2. Ok I might have to do that, instead of shooting in the dark repairing random things that may or may not work.
  3. Thanks for the reply. No I just have a cheap scanner for basic codes. For a while I did have a stabilitrak and brake assist light pop up, but it was very intermittent. Sometimes it would go away on startup and then come back after 3-4 startups. I haven't had it pop up in about 2 weeks though.
  4. Hey guys. I researched as much as I could before posting this. I recently purchased a 2014 GMC Sierra 1500 SLE (119k miles) and my cruise control doesn't work. I have a 10 hour round trip drive coming up and would really like to have my cruise control for then. I replaced my brake pedal switch which I read to be the common culprit, but that didn't work. There are no codes on the dash, no stored DTCs. Truck runs great/no issues except my cruise control just doesn't work. I can click the white button to activiate it, and then when I try to set it at a certain speed nothing happens. Any fuses to check, where should I go from here? Would really appreciate any help, don't want to have to take it to a shop and pay for a fix if it's relatively easy.
